The Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design at the University of Michigan, ranked among the top eight graduate schools in the nation for art and design according to the 2020 U.S. News and World Report, is accepting MFA in Art applications for fall 2022.

Idea and material work together at Stamps, as the curriculum supports students in the creation of culturally relevant work with a clearly articulated context. Without the constraints of media-specific majors, Stamps MFA students leverage the rich research community of the University of Michigan to conduct rigorous research and inquiry to create studio and post-studio work. In addition to a written thesis, Stamps MFA candidates exhibit work at the downtown Ann Arbor Stamps Gallery.
