With the launch of Gallery Weekend *Discoveries, Gallery Weekend Berlin expands with a second event in autumn: from September 16 to 18—during Berlin Art Week—the participating galleries come together again to inaugurate the new format.

In the first edition of this conceptual series, many of the participating galleries will focus on emerging, underrepresented positions, giving artists a broader platform and access to the galleries’ well-established networks. At the same time, such networks will be introduced to artistic work that looks beyond the standard market-driven operations.

Gallery Weekend *Discoveries is a cooperative initiative, rooted in the strong sense of community held amongst Berlin galleries. Further features on current exhibitions as well as insightful profiles of Berlin galleries can be discovered at
