Scope resurfaces this summer with its unique art fair in the East End with Scope Hamptons, July 14-16, 2006. Scope returns with over 60 international emerging and established galleries to its new 20,000 square foot location, the East Hampton Studios–a real-time showcase of the contemporary art world.

Building on last year’s highly successful Weekend of Art, Scope is proud to announce the official launch of the Scope Hamptons Summer Art Weekend 2006. Partnering with the Watermill Center, The Parrish Art Museum, Guild Hall, The Retreat, and the Music Festival of the Hamptons, Scope will host multiple benefits, receptions and tours in support of the community and local art institutions.

Like no other fair, Scope presents cutting-edge international art alongside a full schedule of museum-quality programming, special events, including an indoor interactive mini-Mt. Everest, Cinema-scope, performances and screenings. Scope Hamptons 2006 will be open daily from 11am to 8pm.

Sneak Preview Thursday, July 13th, 5-9pm
Collector Preview will benefit the Retreat, the only nonprofit organization that offers counseling and supportive services to victims of domestic violence as well as education and prevention programs in the East End.

Collector Sneak-Preview Benefit, 5pm -7pm: Collectors will privately preview the fair, joining exhibitors as they cut the tape for the official opening of the fair.

Ekstract Reception, 7pm -9pm: Ardent supporters of the arts, Eileen and Richard Ekstract have opened their doors to collectors and Scope Exhibitors for an evening of art and culture benefiting the Retreat.
Press Preview Brunch Friday, July 14th, 11am -1pm

Guild Hall Museum Benefit Friday, July 14th, 6pm – 9pm
Collectors from all over the world will convene to benefit Guild Hall on their 75th Anniversary Year along with our co-beneficiaries, the Music Festival of the Hamptons, and The Parrish Art Museum. In its diamond jubilee year, Guild Hall will present many groundbreaking historic moments and the opening if their new Education Center on June 10th.
Culture on the Verge off-site Friday, July 14th, 9pm-late
With the support of Jim Chanos, Matti Anttila, and Nick Barquin, Scope Patrons and Exhibitors join Parrish Museum Builders at Pink Elephant in Southampton to kick off a night of music and special performances to support our beneficiaries, sponsored by Cabana Cachaça. Cabana Cachaça is the first artisanal, double distilled Brazilian rum to be introduced to the US, and announces its premiere at Scope Hamptons 2006. Rhizome presents an evening of video and sound with live performances and digital collages. Free admission with purchase of a VIP Reception ticket. Pink Elephant; 281 County Rd. 39A (Rte. 27), nr. N.
