Concept
The 3rd Biennale of Ceramics in Contemporary Art developed as a network, a new form of intra/inter territorial aggregation, aimed at developing the social and cultural assets of the Ceramic District in the Province of Savona (Ligurian Riviera, Italy).
During its 3rd edition, the Biennale focused on fostering the interaction and co-existence of multiple and unique interests within a geographic area with deeply-rooted ceramic traditions (Albisola, Savona, Vado Ligure), involving internationally-renowned designers and artists, museum curators, critics, art and design historians, ceramic laboratories and hi-tech companies, professional training centres, universities and fine arts academies in a single field of action.
The 3rd Biennale of Ceramics in Contemporary Art has promoted the encounter between local material ethos, the creative concepts of designers, the free expression of artists and the culture of hi-tech companies to foster an undisciplined hybridization of ceramic, design and contemporary art.
