Artis, in partnership with OnCurating, is pleased to present Curating on Shaky Grounds: Curating in Times of Crisis and Conflict, a workshop and public symposium that invites participants to think through the role and responsibility of curators and artists as critical mediators in a time of crisis. Questioning traditional hierarchies of knowledge, critique, and power structures, the program provides opportunities to collaboratively consider ways in which exhibition-making can create possibilities for regaining differentiated and nuanced viewpoints.

With contributions by international curators and arts practitioners, Curating on Shaky Grounds includes curatorial workshops, performative gatherings, and a public symposium. This program is part of a year-long series of workshops presented by Artis and OnCurating.

Presenters and speakers of the symposium (November 5–6) include: Nanne Buurman, Avi Feldman, aaajiao, Isabelle Graw, Paz Guevara, Dor Guez, Johan Frederik Hartle, Oliver Marchart, Liz Rech & Salah Zater (Schwabinggrad Ballett), Maayan Sheleff, Boaz Levin, Nora Sternfeld.

Presenters and speakers of the workshops (November 2–4) include: Stephanie Amurao, Dani Gal, Philip Horst, Gilly Karjevsky, Ariel Reichman, Alona Rodeh and Maya Shenfeld together with Dorothee Richter, Maayan Sheleff and Ronald Kolb.

Please visit the program webpage for additional details here. All talks held in English, all times CETRegistration for on-site attendance is required here.
