maco I mexico arte contemporaneo will take place in Mexico City from May 12 – 16 2004.

For the first time in Mexico City more than forty five galleries from eleven countries will participate. The art fair will be divided in two programs: General, dedicated to established galleries, and New Proposals, dedicated to young galleries with emerging artists.

The Fair will take place in Expo Reforma, located in the heart of the city, near the historic center and a few steps away from the Condesa, Roma and Polanco neighborhoods.

For this occasion we have organized a program intellectually stimulating and tremendously enjoyable of social-cultural activities, such as visits to museums, private collections, visits to the fair, dinners and parties. The purpose of this program is to create an ideal ambiance for the exchange of ideas and projects between the invited collectors, local collectors, galleries, curators and institutions.

Our main objective is to promote contemporary art collecting in our country.

Please join us in this edition of maco I mexico arte contemporaneo.
