Curated by Jens Hoffmann

Organized by NIFCA, Nordic Institute for Contemporary Art in collaboration with Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma.

Institution2 is an exhibition and a seminar that posit an inquiry into the work of ten contemporary art institutions in Europe. The program is part of The Process a sequence of exhibitions, performances, workshops, and lectures, which together form the program of Kiasma from September 2003 till January 2004. The objective of Institution2 is to present different examples of institutional work from various cultural and geographic contexts that manifest a flexible and progressive approach to a critical engagement with art and the exchange with the public. The program will examine the different institutional models in order to formulate an outlook of the diverse landscape of art institutions and their different strategies.
