The Fair
A settled parterre of important contemporary and emerging galleries, this year enriched by new big names of the international scene and by the interesting countries participating for the first time at an Italian fair.
The special initiatives
Present Future – at its second edition – presented the artworks of 15 young artists; the Irish Padraig Timoney, was selected by the jury of international collectors and received the special illycaffè Award; New Entries presented 15 young avant-garde galleries for the first time in Turin; Videolab offered a very.up to date point of view on video-art with films of well-known and young emerging artists.
Artissima and Turin
Artissima confirmed to be a unique event among the international contemporary art fairs thanks to the cooperation and union of aims with the Local Bodies, the Chamber of Commerce, the Public Institutions and the bank Foundations, the private sponsors, the Museums, the Foundations and the artistic Institutions, the galleries, the collectors in a city rich of events and proposals in contemporary art.
The next appointment will be at the 10th Artissima edition in Turin, November 13-16, 2003.
