Affordable Art Fair, New York

The Affordable Art Fair comes to New York at Pier 92 (12th Ave at 50th St) from October 31st through November 3rd. If you are interested in or have thought about buying original contemporary art but find the work is out of your budget, you must visit the Affordable Art Fair New York. More than 90 galleries will exhibit the works of contemporary artists, all priced under $5,000.
To create an environment that is accessible and exciting to art buyers of all ages and levels of collecting, the fair will offer free lectures on collecting contemporary art and will feature sculpture and print demonstrations. There will also be programs and art workshops for visiting children.
Tickets are available for the Opening Night Benefit Preview on Wednesday, October 30 from 6 to 9 PM. The proceeds will benefit a collection of Lower Manhattan’s arts organizations including apexart, Art in General, Artists Space, Downtown Arts Projects, The Drawing Center, Exit Art, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, New Museum of Contemporary Art, Swiss Institute, and White Columns. Adults: $9 advance purchase, $10 at the door
Students and seniors: $6 advance purchase, $7 at the door
