The Fund for Korean Art Abroad (FKAA) is a grant program established to promote Korea’s contemporary visual art to an international audience and to support exhibitions of Korean artists overseas. The program is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Korea and managed by the Korea Arts Management Service (KAMS). The FKAA directly awards grants to international art organizations, both non-profit and commercial, that invite Korean artists to exhibit their artworks; collaborate with Korean partners—including curators, galleries, and other relevant organizations—to present exhibitions of artworks by Korean artists; or collaborate with Korean artists/partners to produce and exhibit commissioned artworks.

The open call for the FKAA’s fifth year occurred from January 20, 2022 to March 21, 2022. KAMS selected 18 applications among the 58 applications received during this open call. Following a session that reviewed the applications, the screening committee further assessed the applications by conducting interviews with the representatives of the applicants. For more information about the screening criteria and the comments made by the screening committee, please visit: KAMS NOW.
