Celebrating the future of architecture, internationally
Nomination deadline: December 18, 2022
Nominations open for the 2023 Royal Academy Dorfman Award!
The RA Dorfman Award has established itself as a prestigious platform that champions a wider appreciation of new architecture from around the world. We are looking for talented architects who are developing new futures for the practice of architecture.
The RA Dorfman Award is distinguished by the fact that architects do not propose themselves, but are put forward by knowledgeable and respected nominators, who can be practitioners, critics or well-informed enthusiasts.
From your nominations our international jury chaired by Niall McLaughlin RA with Samira Ahmed, Roksanda Ilinčić, Farshid Moussavi RA, Vicky Richardson and Sumayya Vally will select four finalists who will be invited to London, to participate in public events and to present to the jury as part of RA Awards Week in October 2023. The winner will receive 10,000 GBP.
We invite you to join our international group of nominators. Put forward up to four nominations of practices whose work you believe is pushing the boundaries of the discipline of architecture. It is important that you write a short, but well-informed explanation of why their work is exciting in the particular context it takes place in. You can read more about what we are looking for at the link below.
Previous winners of the RA Dorfman Award have come from all over the world, and include Next Office (Iran), Bangkok Project Studio (Thailand), BCKJ (China) and Wallmakers (India).
Please note that the deadline for receiving nominations for the 2023 RA Dorfman Award is midnight (GMT) Sunday, December 18.
If you choose to provide your details, you will be credited as a nominator within Award materials including on the RA website and will receive special updates on the awards as they progress.
