Punta della Dogana presents the new edition of Set Up, a site-specific format organized in the museum spaces to turn the exhibition rooms into a unique venue for performing arts.
For two evenings, music, dance and performances will take over Punta della Dogana with the participation of international artists coming from different backgrounds and artistic fields: Leïla Ka, Carmen Villain, Marta Cuscunà, Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul, Riccardo Benassi, Nkisi, Andrea Belfi, Mellina Boubetra, Tolouse Low Trax, Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp, Deena Abdelwahed.
From theater and contemporary dance to drums & electronics and afro avantpop, disciplines mingle as the barriers between artist and public thin out. Set Up is an immersive experience that lets artist, performances and music intertwine and interact with the monumental architecture of Punta della Dogana, one of the most suggestive spaces in Venice.
Conceived by Palazzo Grassi—Punta della Dogana, the new edition of Set Up is organized in collaboration with the independent curator Enrico Bettinello and Terraforma festival.
