Open house with BA & MA programmes info event

The Basel Academy of Art and Design (HGK Basel) has the great pleasure to invite you to its open house on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 10am to 9pm CET—at the campus on the Dreispitzareal in Basel as well as online in a 3D space.

We look forward to welcoming all those interested in art, design and culture on-site or online. On the programme: exhibitions of current projects from our various study programmes, a varied programme of events with a focus on art and design, looks behind the scenes and an varied culinary offering.

For example, visit the semester exhibition LOOK of the degree programme Industrial Design and immerse yourself in the making of process behind the scenes. The studio exhibition of the Visual Communication and Digital Spaces degree programme shows the diverse world of analogue and digital design. At the HyperWerk, project exhibitions, live radio broadcasts, culinary encounters and mindful moments await visitors in the collectively created spaces of the Process Design at HyperWerk degree programme. And: at CIVIC, the social infrastructure in the entrance area of the HGK Basel, students invite to a swap meet, conversations and a cold drink—under the motto “The most valuable thing we have at the HGK Basel is exchange”.

Prospective students get the chance to learn about our BA and MA programmes. They can roam through studios and labs, talk to faculty, researchers, and students, and tour our campus workshops.
