Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts Poznan (UAP) is a leading art  academy in the Central and Eastern Europe, which attracts more and more applicants from all over the world every year. It is the only university among art schools in Poland and a vital cultural centre of cross-regional significance. There is a number of faculties as well as postgraduate studies, Study in English, Institute of Idea Implementation, specialized workshops and courses, Art University of the Third Age, and the Doctoral School. The idea of pluralism and interdisciplinary approach is reflected in our distinctive feature  - the so-called free choice studio. Students of each degree programme have the possibility to select two studios outside of their faculty.

Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts Poznan is open for new applications.  International candidates can apply for the following programmes: Graphic Arts, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Intermedia, Painting, Photography, Product Design, Stage Design. UAP offers full time Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes with classes taught in English. EU and non-EU candidates are eligible to apply.

Study in English is a commercial programme and the tuition fees are as follows: EUR 5000 EUR for one year of BA studies, 6000 EUR for one year of MA studies. Each applicant is obliged to pay 200 EUR of non-refundable enrolment fee while applying for both first cycle and second cycle studies. More information and bank account details are to be found here.

Admission
June 30:
 Deadline for submitting applications. Mid July: Cover letters and portfolios of applicants are reviewed by the Admissions Committee. Each candidate will be informed about the results. August 15: Applicants accepted for the first year of studies are required to pay the tuition fee until this date. Beginning of September: All applicants will receive an admission letter that allows them to apply for the visa at the Embassy of Poland or consulate in the country of residence. Beginning of October: Candidates are required to provide the complete set of application documents to the International Office. Residency programme
This programme is available for one or two semesters (corresponding to the semester of the UAP academic year). The aim of the residency is to give international candidates a possibility to improve their skills in different areas of fine arts and design and to give a great opportunity of self-development. Residents do not follow one particular programme. Instead they are free to choose studios according to their interests and previous experience. Residency at UAP is a non- degree programme, participants do not receive any diploma, however they are provided with a detailed transcript of records that includes classes they attended and grades received. Residency is a commercial programme and the tuition fees are as followsEUR 2000 for one semester, EUR 4000 for one year. To be admitted for the residency programme an applicant should submit an application form (to be found online), cover letter and portfolio. Candidates applying for the residency programme are not required to pay any enrollment fee. Deadline for submitting application documents is September 15. Open days 2023
Join our off-line open day on March 11, which will give you an opportunity to get acquainted with available courses, visit a vast variety of studios and take part in a number of workshops. Curators and students from various faculties will be ready to answer all your inquiries.  You can also make use of two subsequent on-line editions on March, 23–24 and April, 20–21. The first on-line edition is planned for communication with representatives of faculties, both curators and students, while  the second edition is meant for consultations on previously submitted portfolios.
