School of Creative Arts
The School of Creative Arts, comprised of three well-established units, namely the Academy of Film, Academy of Music, and Academy of Visual Arts, is well poised to disrupt the creative practice and art education in film, music and visual arts.  A new framework of education and research is needed for artists to “think” futurity. Rooted in liberal arts ethos and transdisciplinary inquiries, the new school aims to interrogate the infinite acts of human creativity, reassess the roles of arts in our time, and invent new artistic opportunities for the future.

Academy of Visual Arts
The Academy of Visual Arts (AVA) is committed to providing the best visual arts education, combining studio-based research, critical and historical studies, and sustainable service for the cultural and creative sectors as well as for the community at large.  The Academy currently has 26 full-time faculty members and has developed rapidly, building an international teaching team and developing multi-faceted programmes based on an interdisciplinary curriculum.

The Academy of Visual Arts is looking for outstanding applicants for multiple tenure-track faculty positions as Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor of Practice, specialising in Studio Art, New Media Art, Printmaking, Jewelry and Wearables. Applicants should have at least a master’s degree (ideally a PhD degree) in a relevant discipline, and be able to demonstrate their keen interests in teaching, practice, and research by their academic, professional, and personal track records.  Records of successful grant applications or project funding bids will be considered as an advantage.

Appointment terms
Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  The initial appointment will normally be made on a fixed-term contract of up to three years commencing August 2023 or on a mutually agreed date.  Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance and mutual agreement.  Tenured appointments are expected to be attained in six years and outstanding candidates at Associate Professor or above may be hired with direct tenure.
