The School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, invites qualified academics to apply for one of two faculty positions in Interactive Design as Assistant or Associate Professor (tenure track).
Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas of Interactive Media Art are encouraged to apply: interactive media design, creative immersive spaces installations and environments, virtual and augmented reality, narratives for interaction, machine intelligence and machine learning-based artworks, creative robotics and kinetics, media-based interventions in public spaces and architectures, and generative art.
Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas of Interactive Experience Design are encouraged to apply: responsive systems and architectures, interaction and participatory design, user experience design for interactive devices and implantables, social media and internet of things, web design, human-centred research and education.
The ideal candidate combines a strong track record or potential in research as well as creative practice. Additional qualifications include:
–Proven ability to teach and supervise student-led research and creative projects from idea generation through to final execution and presentation at the tertiary level.
–A strong track record and enthusiasm to lead in the expansion of creative technologies and/or interactive experience design beyond traditional fields.
–Sufficient understanding and awareness of the full breadth of interaction design, with high-calibre practice in one sub-specialisation.
–A willingness to examine the cultural and social implications of interaction design, including their ethical and philosophical dimensions.

Post-graduate programs combine theory and practice in MA and PhD by research and a popular MA in Museum and Curatorial Practise. NTU provides excellent opportunities for funded research and facilities for creative production.
The successful applicant will contribute to the School’s development and delivery of undergraduate and graduate curricula, as well as creative and scholarly research. A strong international reputation in the field, including a significant exhibition or publishing record is a priority. A terminal MFA or PhD degree, is expected.
The successful candidate is expected to maintain an active research/creative production profile, as well as a commitment to teaching and service to the school. An open, collaborative approach, and willingness to work across areas of the school and university, is a priority. This position will also involve administrative activities and committee participation.
