The deputy artistic director will report directly to the artistic director and work closely with him on the organization of various large-scale monographic and/or thematic exhibitions from concept to installation. He or she will occupy one of the key positions at the PinchukArtCentre.
Responsibilities:
–Day to day management for the artistic team and the communications manager in joint supervision with communications director
–Curate two exhibitions per year
–Support and implement all other exhibitions. This includes overseeing installation, production and overall preparatory works
–Work with the head of the research and education department on developing the research platform
–Draft programs for the public program in line with overall strategy and budgeting
–Writing didactic texts, with the possibility for contributions to catalogues
Job requirements include: BA in art history; MA preferred; at least three years related experience with demonstrated curatorial and organizational skills; excellent communication and leadership skills; an ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; budget awareness; great flexibility; awareness of political and societal conditions; strong interest for different cultures; readiness to be based in Kiev for a minimum of three years.

About PinchukArtCentre
For 10 years, the PinchukArtCentre has been the only place in Ukraine to offer a consistent program that presented major solo exhibitions and theme shows focusing on new produced works from leading international artists, combined with a long-term commitment to nurture and support the emerging Ukrainian artscene. The art centre has founded the Future Generation Art Prize to support national and international young artists up to 35, and the PinchukArtCentre Prize for Ukrainian artists up to 35.
The PinchukArtCentre represented Ukraine in 2007, 2009 and 2014 at the Venice Biennale, organizing the Ukrainian national pavilions, as well as with Future Generation Art Prize@Venice exhibitions in 2011 and 2013 as part of the Collateral events.
Over 2.5 million mostly young people have visited the art centre since its opening in 2006. PinchukArtCentre is supported by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, Ukraine’s first large scale private foundation that has followed for over 10 years its mission to “empower future generations to become the change makers of tomorrow.”
