The seventh edition of Zurich Art Weekend 2024 presents a weekend-long discovery across the city’s international art scene. Together with over 65 venues, a curated program of 75+ exhibitions, 100+ events and 150+ artists, ZAW24 offers art professionals and enthusiasts a great way to engage deeply with the arts.

With a diverse program set up by Zurich’s art institutions, galleries, off-spaces, universities, collections and foundations, the weekend preceding Art Basel, the event is engaged in the arts on a national and international scale.

Zurich Art Weekend is a catalyst that envisions Zurich as a place for experiences and encounters, a thriving hub for the arts where diverse voices converge. As an artist-centred weekend, Zurich Art Weekend invites the national and international art community to engage in meaningful exchanges. Zurich Art Weekend is committed to being an inclusive, accessible platform, offering the program free of charge. Simultaneously, Zurich Art Weekend actively encourages cross-disciplinary exchanges to deepen the understanding of artistic creation.

For the 2024 edition there will be institutional solo shows of Karla Black, Dineo Seshee Raisibe Bopape, Ferdinand Hodler, Olaf Holzapfel, Ana Jotta, Kiki Kogelnik and Ahlam Shibli; gallery and off-spaces presenting international to emerging positions including André Butzer, Matt Mullican, Jonathan Meese, Didier William, Grace Schwindt, Shara Hughes, Tobias Pils and Pascale Birchler to mention a few.

This year, Zurich Art Weekend is setting up a city-wide cross-venue performance program for the first time. Zurich Art Weekend aims to bring art beyond venue walls and into the public realm. From the Schauspielhaus and Kunsthaus Zürich to Cabaret Voltaire, Löwenbräukunst and Shedhalle, the program will include artists Monster Chetwynd, Latefa Wiersch, Izidora I LETHE and Nora Turato, to name a few. It will be a new layer to the vast program, from guided tours, thematic art walks, studio and collection visits, book launches and cocktail parties to a comprehensive interdisciplinary talks program at schwarzescafé / Luma Westbau.
