Research, exhibitions, and artistic residencies are at the core of Ramdom’s artistic program for the spring-summer season 2024. The program will be developed in Castrignano de’ Greci (Apulia, Italy) and abroad.

The Extinct Desinence is a project by Italian Artist Lucia Veronesi born as a broad reflection on the relationship between the extinction of languages, the field of botany, the history of science in its female declinations, and their socio-political implications. Conducted through a phase of research in London, Trondheim, and Zurich, the project’s final result is an artwork composed of a tapestry and a video. The project will be exhibited and discussed on a national and international scale through four exhibitions (London, Trondheim, Venice, and Castrignano de’ Greci) and a round table (Zurich). The project is supported by the Italian Council (12th Edition, 2023), the Italian Ministry of Culture.

La terra nostra è un mostro di mare 2 is a group exhibition that focuses on the Mediterranean and investigates it from different perspectives. Land and sea at the same time, the Mediterranean is a place of contrasts and contradictions, proposed here as a possible unit of measurement and hypothesis of a paradigm shift. The earth and the sea are therefore poles of agreement and disagreement at the same time; of tension and expression of an ever-changing landscape that is often indefinable; of a desire to leave and return to the place of origin.

Group show: La terra nostra è un mostro di mare 2
Curated by Paolo Mele and Claudio Zecchi / Participating artists: Andreco, Luca Coclite, Gabriella Ciancimino, Riccardo Giacconi e Carolina Valencia Caicedo, Elena Mazzi e Rosario Sorbello, Alessandro Sciarroni.

Ogni Altro Suono is a series of live performances that reaches its fourth edition this year. The event creates a dialogue between the popular tradition and the experimentation in the sound field. Each of the artists involved stay for a period of residency during which they delve deeper into the proposed themes, each developed according to their particular vision and within the relevant sound field (sound art, electronic and concrete music, DJing, traditional music). The project is supported by FUS–Fondo Unico dello Spettacolo, Italian Ministry of Culture.

Ogni Casa è un Villaggio is a three-year-long residency program that promotes a period of research, and exhibition, inscribed in the conceptual frame developed by Ramdom over the last twelve years: the investigation of peripheral territories, the South and the Mediterranean. The research will also leverage the dynamics of the social and cultural regeneration of small municipalities and the exploitation of local manufacturing, knowledge, and techniques. Within this program, Ramdom will host Senior and Juniors artists. Among these: Matteo Nasini, Muna Mussie (Senior) and Annalisa Zegna (Junior).*
