Onassis AiR is excited to announce the start of its 2024/25 residency season, welcoming a new group of Fellows to Athens for a unique, process-focused program dedicated to experimentation and community exchange.
After five successful years and over 200 supported Fellows, Onassis AiR has established itself both locally and internationally as a leading residency program for artistic research. Founded on the principles of learning and doing with others, Onassis AiR grounds its mission in supporting the artistic process by providing space and time for arts professionals from various backgrounds and disciplines to delve deeper into their practice without the pressure of having to present a final work.
As a dynamic platform within the Onassis ecosystem, Onassis AiR encourages the exchange of ideas, having at its core the mission of investing in people: prioritizing relationships, creative processes, unconventional perspectives, and the potential that arises from bringing together a diverse community of curious minds.
For the 2024/25 season, the program expands its reach, offering new opportunities through its Open Call in three distinct strands: Onassis AiR Extended Research Residencies, Onassis AiR Dramaturgy Fellowships and Onassis AiR/ONX Fellowships, in collaboration with the Onassis Dramaturgy and Onassis ONX programs, as well as through International Networks. After receiving over 2,100 applications, we begin our new Onassis AiR season with 45 Fellows from different disciplines, including visual arts, dance, film, digital art, curatorial studies, theater, and critical ecologies among others.
We have, thus, the pleasure of introducing you to the 2024/25 Onassis AiR Fellows:
