Discover IDSVA
This Virtual Open House is designed for prospective students to meet us online from anywhere in the world. Join Director of Admissions Molly Davis in conversation with Professor Dejan Lukic. Get advice on how to prepare the application, learn about the classes and worldwide residencies of IDSVA’s PhD in Philosophy, Aesthetics, and Art Theory, and have your own questions answered.

Why choose IDSVA
The IDSVA PhD in Visual Arts: Philosophy, Aesthetics, and Art Theory is a research-based, low-residency PhD for creative thinkers. As a true nomadic institution, IDSVA is a school without walls: a community that exists everywhere our students and faculty are, and gathers in person in various parts of the world. The IDSVA global learning program fuses interactive online education with intensive residencies in Rome, Spannocchia Castle (Tuscany), Siena, Florence, Venice, Berlin, Athens, Madrid, Marrakech, Mexico City, and New York City.

If you would like to schedule an individual meeting with Molly Davis, please sign up here.

Apply now for May 2025 Admission. Deadline: January 20, 2025.
