Foundwork is pleased to announce the open call for the 2025 Foundwork Artist Prize, an annual juried award for emerging and mid-career artists working in any media.

Now in its seventh year, the award includes an unrestricted 10,000 USD grant, remote studio visits with each of the esteemed jurors, and a long-form interview as part of Foundwork's Dialogues program. In addition to the honoree, three artists will be named to the 2025 Short List.

The jury for the 2025 Foundwork Artist Prize includes highly acclaimed and visionary voices hailing from New York, Los Angeles, Boston, London, and Paris:

Carmen Hermo, Lorraine and Alan Bressler Curator of Contemporary Art, MFA Boston, Boston
Ebony Haynes, Senior Director, David Zwirner and 52 Walker, New York City
Lauren Mackler, Independent Curator, Writer, and Designer, Los Angeles
Antonia Marsh, Curator and Founder, Soft Opening, London
Hugo Vitrani, Curator, Palais de Tokyo, Paris

The Prize is open to artists residing anywhere in the world with limited exceptions. To be considered, artists will need to register and maintain a profile on the Foundwork website, with at least six artworks and an artist statement published on their profile page, throughout the 2025 selection period: 5pm PT, September 26, 2025–5pm PT, December 31, 2025.
