Ecology Is Dead and We Have Killed It is a text written by María Auxiliadora Gálvez and Mauro Gil-Fournier in response to the urgent circumstances of today, where countless conflicts, inequalities, and crises are proliferating across the planet. It is a text that calls not only for activism, but for a deep transformation in our attitudes and perceptions, starting from the roots. A text that gets us thinking and nudges us to act on ourselves.

The launch of Ecology Is Dead and We Have Killed It will be accompanied by a series of events marking the beginning of a collective-planetary practice. The beginning of a performance. The following program will revolve around actions of affective-somatic activism, with live readings of this manifesto as the central axis. These actions make up the foundational acts of a new civic-architectural practice.

We also invite you also to create your own performative reading:

Step 1: Walk in silence, alone or accompanied, toward a high place—preferably a mountain.
