From October 3–5, 2025, the 16th international contemporary art fair ArtVilnius will bring together galleries, collections, collectors, and curators from across the Baltic States under one roof. For the first time, private and institutional collections from Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia will be presented in depth, highlighting the region’s rich collecting traditions and emerging trends.
ArtVilnius’25 will feature 81 contemporary art galleries and art institutions, showcasing more than 320 artists from 16 countries. The fair will once again take place at the Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress Centre Litexpo – the country’s leading exhibition venue, located just 15 minutes from Vilnius city centre. Each year, ArtVilnius attracts between 18,000 and 23,000 visitors of all ages.
Focus on collecting
ArtVilnius’25 will place special emphasis on art collecting in the Baltic States, and for the first time ever, will comprehensively present a range of private and institutional collections from the region. This curatorial focus will run throughout the ArtVilnius’25 programme, offering insight into the practices and narratives shaping collections across Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.
The Focus Baltic programme curators
Maria Arusoo: exhibition curator, playwright, head of the Estonian Centre for Contemporary Art. Inga Lāce: curator of international exhibitions from Latvia and Chief Curator at the Almaty Museum of Arts, Kazakhstan. Sonata Baliuckaitė: long-time artistic director and curator of ArtVilnius’25 from Lithuania.
Gallery programme
Among the participating galleries, visitors will see familiar galleries such as Temnikova&Kasela Gallery, Kogo Gallery (Estonia), Māksla XO, Gallery Bastejs (Latvia), Wildpalms (Germany), Nivet Carzon (France), and TSEKH (Ukraine/Lithuania).
From Lithuania, participating galleries include Meno Parkas Gallery, KADS Baroti Galerija, Meno Niša, The Rooster Gallery, Drifts and others. The Vilnius Academy of Arts will showcase emerging talents through its presentation of seven independent galleries, and the Lithuanian Artists' Association will also be represented by its 7 galleries.
Project Zone
Hall 4 will host the Project Zone, featuring a curated selection of the most compelling private and institutional contemporary art collections from Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.
From Latvia, the Zuzeum Art Centre will present works by prominent women artists from the Soviet and transition periods. VV Foundation, which unites art enthusiasts Vita Liberte, Vilnis Štrams and Jānis Borgs, will showcase a diversity of artistic media and generations. For the first time, the Rothko Museum. The Rothko Bridge will participate in ArtVilnius.
From Lithuania, the Noewe Foundation will present selected works by international artists. Sapieha Palace/Sapiegų rūmai will participate for the first time. Stasys Museum will show works by Stasys Eidrigevičius. Finally, long-term ArtVilnius Maecenas COBALT, one of the leading law firms in the Baltic region, will present works from the private collections of its managing partners.
Other highlights include artworks from the private collection of Martin and Epp Kruus, founders of the Estonia-based Collection Kruus and the private collections of Maria Avdjushko, a renowned Estonian actress and film producer, and Lithuanian collector Boris Symulevič, whose collection features emerging artists from across Europe.
Exhibition The Path
The Path, curated by the Focus Baltic team, will be dedicated to sculptural installations and performance. It will feature works by 14 international artists: Anna Egle, Ave Vellesalu, Bob Bicknell-Knight, Elena Kanarskaitė, Evelina Dapkutė, Gabija Pernavaitė, Ilya Gichan, Maarit Murka, Maarja Mäemets, Paulina Pukytė, Paulina Vasiliauskaitė, Rimantas Milkintas, Rokas Janušonis, and Zhanna Kadyrova.
Additional programme
The creative programme of ArtVilnius’25 is complemented by discussions, lectures, presentations of art publications, an educational programme, and guided tours with art critics. As in previous years, a jury will select the best fair participants. The Young Collector’s stand will return with a curated selection of artworks priced up to 500 EUR.
The fair will also present ArtVilnius Talks, curated by Dr. Paco Barragán (Spain) and Dr. Simona Skaisgirė (Lithuania)—a series of conversations aimed at increasing the participation of Baltic galleries and expanding the international visibility of Baltic art. Confirmed speakers include Lisa Long (Germany), Martin Kruus (Estonia), Alain Servais (Belgium), Vita Liberte (Latvia), Daiva Lialytė, Žaneta Fomova (Lithuania), and others.
