Duane Linklater: mâcistan
For his exhibition mâcistan, Duane Linklater has developed a site-specific modular structure centred around the concept of the “cache”. A cache is a collection or assemblage of things. Connecting personal collections—the keepsakes and small objects we accumulate throughout our lives and display in our homes—to the larger museum complex and its colonial underside, the cache speaks to the entangled narratives through which not only objects but also emotions, memories, and ideas circulate and are preserved all over the world.

The exhibition has been developed in collaboration with Kunsthalle Bielefeld and Galerie Rudolfinum in Prague, which will both present new iterations later in 2026.

Duane Linklater, born in 1976, is an Omaskêko Ininiwak artist from Moose Cree First Nation living in North Bay, Robinson Huron Treaty territory.

Mimi Ọnụọha: Soft Zeros
In Soft Zeros, Mimi Ọnụọha examines the unreliability of archives and the instability of knowledge, exploring how absence and silence—shaped by algorithmic bias, historical denial, and collective forgetting—become meaningful. She points to what has not been collected, asked, allowed, or represented. In her research-based practice, Ọnụọha ultimately asks what forms of knowledge are withheld from us in an environment shaped by disinformation and polarisation—and which role we play in this forgetting. As she writes: “To reckon with the present is to learn how to read what seemingly isn’t there.”

Mimi Ọnụọha was born in Italy in 1989 and lives in New York.

Cevdet Erek: Secession Ornamentation
Some of Cevdet Erek’s site-specific installations and sonic environments evolve around the idea of “sound ornamentation”. For Secession Ornamentation, Erek “ornamentates” the façade of the exhibition house. The loudspeakers on the outer walls of the building accentuate the iconic architecture not only visually but also acoustically, turning the façade into a surface that can be heard. By referencing devices of orientation and accessibility such as sound boxes placed at traffic lights for sight impaired people, Erek also draws attention to the politics of perception—how space is organised through systems of guidance, control, and care.
