Spring/summer: Walter Pfeiffer, Amedeo Modigliani, Nathalie Du Pasquier, Peter Fischli. Fall/winter: Alberto Savinio, Chris Ofili, Iris Touliatou.

Relaunched in 2022 with a renewed contemporary vision, Pinacoteca Agnelli is a dynamic museum located on top of the Lingotto, the former FIAT factory in Turin. The iconic modernist building, famed for its looping test track on the roof, was renovated in the 1990s by architect Renzo Piano.

Pinacoteca links the past with the present through the production of temporary exhibitions dedicated to pioneers of contemporary art, recurring artistic interventions aimed at reactivating the historic Permanent Collection, and a series of outdoor, site-specific commissions by international artists, creating a dialogue with the unique legacy of the building and its architecture.

Opening April 30
Exhibition: Walter Pfeiffer
A retrospective exhibition dedicated to artist Walter Pfeiffer (1946, Benningen; lives and works in Zurich), tracing his prolific career as a pioneering photographer who redefined visual languages of beauty and style, transforming the mundane into the glamorous while avoiding hierarchies and embracing chance.

Beyond the Collection: Amedeo Modigliani
This project presents a dialogue between four masterpieces by Amedeo Modigliani (1888, Livorno–1920, Paris). The presentation will unveil unprecedented insight into the works and challenge their long-held interpretations thanks to new scientific research.

La Pista 500: Nathalie Du Pasquier
Nathalie Du Pasquier (1957, Bordeaux; lives and works in Milan) presents a new installation for the outdoor spaces of La Pista 500. Spanning the length of the Lingotto, the new work will playfully activate the building’s architecture by merging form, colour and landscape.

La Pista 500: Peter Fischli
On the elliptical ramp of the former FIAT factory, Peter Fischli (1952, Zurich, where he lives and works) connects the mechanisms of everyday life, tourism, wonder, perception and repetition with the unique architecture of the site.

Opening October 30
Exhibition: Alberto Savinio
Avant-garde painter Alberto Savinio (1891, Athens–1952, Rome) is the subject of a major retrospective highlighting his revolutionary contribution to early 20th-century art, as well as his relevance in connection to today’s discourse on painting.

Beyond the Collection: Chris Ofili
Chris Ofili (1968, Manchester; lives and works in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago) presents a new series of works in dialogue with the Permanent Collection of Pinacoteca.

Pista 500 Prize: Iris Touliatou
Iris Touliatou (1981, Athens, where she lives and works) will challenge the format of the billboard on the former car test track with a new work. Touliatou is the recipient of the 2025 edition of Pista 500 Prize, in collaboration with Artissima.
