Master Performing Public Space (Fontys Academy of the Arts) aims at questioning, re-imagining and re-defining public space, in order to create alternative grounds for the benefit of art and society. We bring together a diverse group of artists from across the globe, all eager to explore the role of art in society and to engage with contemporary issues.

The program’s dedicated team and passionate students form a unique interdisciplinary community engaging in processes of co-creation and in the investigation of alternative models for participatory and connective practices.

The one-year aster program is designed for international creatives from a variety of art disciplines, who currently focus on public space as their artistic environment.

This blended-learning program (online/on-campus) investigates public space as a backdrop for artistic expression and intervention. Creatives with a background in theatre, dance, circus, music, fine arts, architecture, digital arts and graphic design are welcome to join this program.
