The master’s programme in Immersive Arts & Digital Narratives at Mozarteum University Salzburg invites applications for the 2026 intake. This innovative liberal arts graduate programme explores the intersection of artistic practice, narrative forms and emerging technologies, embracing immersive, interactive and cross-media approaches. Students have access to the X-Reality Lab, a dedicated research and creation space for immersive and interactive art.
The two-year programme (four semesters / 120 ECTS) is taught in English and open to artists and practitioners from all artistic or scientific backgrounds who have a completed degree, artistic practice, experience with technological methods and a keen interest in critically engaging with technological developments in the arts.
The curriculum fosters experimental artistic research, technological fluency, dramaturgy and storytelling, and prepares graduates to realise projects that combine digital, time-based, performative, immersive, interactive and media-crossing methods. Collaborative work, theoretical reflection and contextual positioning of projects are central components of the programme.
