Program 2026

With the 2026 annual program, the Antonio Dalle Nogare Foundation renews its commitment as a place of culture, artistic expression, research, and dialogue between the arts, connecting a region such as South Tyrol to an international vision and contributing to the construction of an open and participatory community. 

“With the 2026 program, the Antonio Dalle Nogare Foundation reaffirms its mission as a 'cultural platform'. We are not just a collection of works, but a living laboratory where the international scope of contemporary art intertwines with South Tyrol’s identity. Our aim is to transform the exhibition space into an open environment, where artistic research becomes a tool for building a more informed and participatory community,” says Eva Brioschi, Artistic Director of the Antonio Dalle Nogare Foundation.

The first event of the new year will be the presentation of Kendell Geers’s book Duchamp's Endgame: Da Vinci, Dürer, Ingres, Poussin. The South African artist will present the results of extensive and in-depth research that culminated in the publication of this volume, in which he challenges the conventional definition of Marcel Duchamp as a radical iconoclast, highlighting the influences of classical masters such as Leonardo, Poussin, Dürer and Ingres on the artist’s production after his time in Munich in 1912. 

The event will take place at the Foundation on Friday, January 30 and is part of a three-year research project led by the Artistic Director Eva Brioschi and dedicated to Marcel Duchamp. 

This project began with the exhibition Under the Spell of Duchamp in the Collection, which opened in April 2024, and will culminate in December 2026 with the presentation of an “infinite” research project on the artist.

Throughout 2026, the exhibition program will also include the continuation of It Takes Two, a series of video works from the Antonio Dalle Nogare Collection. The first event will feature the presentation of a video work by artist Laura Grisi, inaugurated with a conversation between Eva Brioschi and curator Marco Scotini on Saturday, March 28, at 11am.

As part of the collateral program of the current exhibition TOUTITÉ—ILIAZD The Study of Form—the most significant Italian retrospective of Ilia Zdanevich’s work, curated by Eva Brioschi and Julia Marchand—on May 22, the Foundation will host an activation with a performance by Cabinet Institute, a “portable museum” conceived by Jeanne Turpault and Gaspar Willmann.

In July, the Foundation will collaborate with Spazio AMA, a South Tyrolean cultural collective active in promoting contemporary art, music, and practices, by hosting a DJ set. The collaboration stems from a shared desire to create an opportunity for gathering and participation aimed at a local, young audience.

The new display of the Antonio Dalle Nogare Collection, entitled Primary Structures—Multiple Systems and curated by Eva Brioschi, will open on Saturday, October 17.

Sixty years after the landmark show Primary Structures (Jewish Museum, NY, 1966), the Foundation presents an exhibition that does not celebrate Minimalism as a relic of the past, but questions it as a language still alive in the practice of many contemporary artists.

The new exhibition aims to reflect on the transition from the industrial, “mute” and self-referential artistic object to formal reduction as a skeleton on which to build personal and collective reflections. 

Through the works of artists who have successfully interrogated and imbued material with meaning, the exhibition stages a dialogue between the minimalist rigor of 1966 and the vibrant complexity of the present.

2026 will conclude with the inauguration on Saturday, December 5, of the “infinite” project dedicated to Marcel Duchamp, entitled: Duchamp. À l’Infinitif Project. This open and constantly evolving project, inspired by the chance method, aims to reopen the debate on Duchamp’s work in a lasting way through a series of exhibitions, events, talks, book presentations, and performances.

Meanwhile, throughout 2026, the Foundation will strengthen its commitment to the public with special Sunday openings once a month, from March to May (March 8, April 12, May 17) and from October to December (October 25, November 15, December 13). See website for more details.

During these days, the Foundation will be open from 10am-6pm and will offer morning workshops dedicated to younger audiences and families. The workshops will provide children with the opportunity to learn about contemporary art and the themes of the current exhibitions interactively and playfully.
