For over 30 years, POST has served as a platform for critical contemporary art in the Netherlands. Operating from two locations, in Nijmegen and Arnhem, POST produces exhibitions and public programmes that engage with urgent voices and contemporary issues.
POST is pleased to announce a new chapter in its development. In autumn 2026, POST Nijmegen will relocate to a new space in the NYMA water tower, a monument located within the evolving cultural landscape of the NYMA makerspace in Nijmegen.
This move to the NYMA water tower offers new possibilities for exhibition-making, experimentation, and collaboration. Situated within a place that reflects broader histories of urban transformation and collective infrastructure, this new location provides a fitting context for POST's ongoing engagement with geopolitical, sociotechnical and ecological questions.
Lieke Wouters, co-director of POST, says: “With our move to the recently renovated water tower, POST is entering a new and exciting phase in its 32-year history in Nijmegen. In the water tower we are able to further develop our programme for critical artistic and pedagogical practices. The organisation is looking forward to getting involved in the bustling NYMA area from within this extraordinary landmark.”
Networks of Precarity
POST Nijmegen will inaugurate its new location on October 2, with the group exhibition Networks of Precarity, curated by Lieke Wouters. With works of artists latency.club, Jeroen van Loon, and Ginevra Petrozzi. Networks of Precarity explores critical narratives of precarity and friction with current and technopolitical landscapes.

Space for art and dialogue
At the same time, POST Arnhem will expand its existing location, creating additional space for exhibitions, gatherings, and public dialogue. These developments mark a significant step in POST's continued commitment to fostering critical artistic practices and creating spaces where diverse perspectives can be challenged and collectively imagined through research, experimentation, and innovative presentations. It creates more opportunities for encounters between artists, audiences, researchers, and local communities.
“With this development, we hope to offer more space for the presentation of art and dialogue with audiences and participants in the future. Our programme, that is closely connected to societal challenges, acts as an invitation and call for further discussion in both formal and informal settings. We are aiming to increase these encounters and conversations in the future.
