Louiza initiates, facilitates, contextualizes, provokes, produces and advises in the global realm of contemporary artistic production. Louiza operates through the collaborative intelligence of a group of nomadic artists, curators, theorists, producers, architects, and other creative workers active in China, Central Asia, Sweden, The Netherlands, Belgium, Italy and Germany. Louiza is co-founder and partner in The Institute for Provocation, a Beijing-based workspace for artists, artworkers and architects founded by Chen Shuyu and Els Silvrants-Barclay in 2007. IFP hosts residencies and research projects, organizes workshops and talks, and runs Black Sesame, a small project space.
