The Graduate School of the Berlin University of the Arts is a fellowship programme for highly qualified graduates of all artistic and scientific majors, who regard the exchange with other disciplines as the basis of their work. The school supports projects, which are rooted in one discipline but unfold their specific qualities through the dialogue with others. Comprising different aspects of artistic research which examines questions of human perception—via the interfaces of composing, sound design, installation and life sciences or methodologies of participatory research in social sciences, performance and public art and many more—the Graduate School aims at equilibrating the flexibilities of a residency-programme and the commitments of an academic study programme. Situated within the larger context of the Postgraduate Forum, the international fellows benefit from a dynamic surrounding and fruitful exchange between the arts and sciences. Since 2011, the Graduate School has been funded as a postgraduate and international programme by the Einstein Foundation Berlin.
