M Leuven is a striking museum that presents its rich collection and leading exhibitions in the heart of Leuven. M offers a unique mix of both ancient and contemporary art. It is an exciting meeting place that offers something for everyone to experience and also discover new perspectives on art and the world. Alongside being internationally recognized as a knowledge center for Medieval sculpture, M is committed to contemporary art and the work of Belgian and international artists. M aims to play a role in artists’ careers, and endeavors to do so by taking an active lead in the production and facilitation of new work. Since 2009 M Leuven and STUK Arts center collaborate on an annual performance festival called Playground: a unique showcase for artists working with performance within an international context. M has left its mark on the Belgian museum landscape in recent years and continues to build on its international ambitions.
