Founded by Jennifer Baichwal and Nicholas de Pencier, Mercury Films Inc. has been creating award-winning documentaries and films for nearly three decades. Their eclectic subjects often delve into art and philosophy, pushing formal boundaries while remaining accessible. In 2006, Mercury Films released a feature-length documentary on the world and work of renowned artist Edward Burtynsky. In 2014, Burtynsky and Mercury Films collaborated again on their second feature documentary, Watermark.
