HydroCity engages with universities, municipalities, and private organizations through projects, workshops, exhibitions, and publications. They also organize creative design charettes as public consultations, often within academic frameworks, and sometimes with the input of local artists. HydroCity leads research on cities as a campaign to bring ecological awareness and to produce visionary proposals for real time opportunities and challenges. They look at watersheds, ground water, and water management through a multi-oriented strategy that goes from the territory to the object. The main preoccupation being to incorporate natural cycles of transformation in our built environement. Ultimately water is the closest element to us, giving it preeminence is driven by an underlying strategy to defeat the invisibility echoed by the threat speed and technology play on the disappearance of our very own physicality.
