STUK is an international arts center that brings together artists and audience across generations. STUK is a House for Dance, Image and Sound where experience, encounters, and dialogue are key. Driven by expertise, curiosity and an open view of the world, STUK wants to stimulate talent development and renewal within contemporary dance, visual and audiovisual arts, sound art and adventurous music. The main focuses of STUK’s engagements are art, education, science, and heritage. STUK’s open view is reflected in the diverse voices in the program, the stories they tell, the chosen themes, and the organized lectures and spaces. Just like their artists and audience, the institution looks at the world with a hesitant and investigative attitude. STUK connects education, science, and heritage as a motor for different ways of thinking within society.
