Fontys School of Fine and Performing Arts

Fontys School of Fine and Performing Arts (Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, FHK) in Tilburg, the Netherlands, is part of Fontys Univeristy of Applied Sciences. The institute provides higher professional education at Bachelor and Master degree level in the field of art education, performing arts and visual design. In total, the institute hosts seventeen different art (education) programmes under one roof. Despite the large number of programmes, the institute is still relatively small, giving students a lot of personal attention. FHK offers artists the opportunity to perform and explore their own discipline. Since this is facilitated in an interdisciplinary environment, it provides artists with the opportunity to explore their practice in relation to, and in combination with, other art-disciplines. FHK challenges and inspires students to (further) develop their creative talent, ambition and personality. Moreover, FHK encourages its students to forge a link between art and the diverse society that we live in.
