La Società delle Api, founded in 2018 by Silvia Fiorucci, takes shape as a community of practice and thought, built over time around the ideas of hospitality, knowledge sharing, and intellectual proximity. More than a place, it is a shifting geography where artists, designers, curators, writers and researchers shape a shared environment through evolving relationships.
Within this framework, the program emerges as a collective process in which production, exhibition, and exchange coincide. Exhibitions, residencies, and public programs are not conceived as autonomous formats, but as articulations of a single experiential space, often entrusted to the artists themselves in their conception and activation.
In 2026, La Società delle Api relocates to Rome, at Via Gregoriana 40. The Roman space joins a constellation of places made available to artists: Palazzo Campo Santo Stefano in Venice, Le Moulin des Ribes in Grasse (France), the Mont Tamalpaïs Chalet in Megève (France), La Casa dell’Ulivo and La Porta Rossa in Kastellorizo (Greece), and the historic sailing boat Suhail, navigating the Mediterranean.
La Società delle Api stems from the desire to build a real community around artists, offering them not only a space but a context in which to develop and share their research. The program reflects this vision: each project becomes an occasion for encounter, a gesture of openness, and a way of inhabiting a place together while transforming it.
