Museum and Gallery MUZA (Ljubljana, Slovenia) is a cultural institution dedicated to the preservation, research and presentation of the NLB Art Collection, one of the most significant corporate collections of modern and contemporary art in Slovenia and Southeast Europe.

Established in 1999, the collection brings together works acquired over several decades, with a historical focus on Slovenian art of the 20th and 21st centuries. In 2018, it was formally protected as cultural heritage by the Slovenian Ministry of Culture. MUZA was established in 2020 to ensure its professional management, continued development and public accessibility.

Today, MUZA operates as an active museum and gallery, combining collecting, research, conservation and documentation with exhibitions, publications, educational programmes and international collaborations.

In recent years, MUZA has expanded its collecting strategy beyond Slovenia, focusing on contemporary artistic practices across Southeast Europe. Through annual acquisitions, it is developing a collection that brings together artists from the former Yugoslavia, Albania and Kosovo, as well as their diasporas. This regional perspective reflects MUZA's commitment to fostering artistic dialogue, connecting diverse cultural contexts and contributing to a broader understanding of contemporary art in Southeast Europe.
