Padimai Art & Tech Studio is an independent, experimental space dedicated to explore the evolving relationship between art, social practices, and technology.
Founded by Vignesh Sundaresan, also known as Metakovan, Padimai exists as both a physical site and an intellectual framework, a space where artists, technologists, and thinkers come together to imagine new modes of creation, collaboration, and cultural preservation through exhibitions, residencies, and commissions.
Conceived as a decentralised entity, it builds infrastructures that support creative sovereignty, enabling artists and collectives to operate with freedom and self-determination in an increasingly mediated world.
One such infrastructure is an evolving blockchain-based archive that traces and preserves artistic encounters as part of a shared digital commons, a direct reflection of Vignesh Sundaresan’s commitment to accessibility and to the continual redefinition of what art can be.
At its heart, Padimai Art & Tech Studio is a space for experimentation and reflection, where art and technology converge to shape new futures, new freedoms, and new forms of collective imagination.
