Initiated by the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation, Platform Dalí weaves networks of artists and scientists to explore new ways of understanding the world. It is inspired by the transformative vision of Salvador Dalí, who intensely observed his era, perceiving it through the gaze of science. For the artist, looking was a way of exposing himself to the complexity of the present, acknowledging that the horizons of knowledge are also those of experience. With this vision, Platform Dalí aims to explore the limits of knowledge and imagination through the hybridisation between art and science.

Platform Dalí will foster, from Barcelona, the encounter between art and science in partnership with five of the city’s scientific centres of excellence: the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre-National Supercomputing Centre (BSC-CNS), the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO), the Institute of Marine Sciences (ICM-CSIC), the Institute of High Energy Physics (IFAE) and the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB). From 2026, Platform Dalí will foster research, creation and mediation between artists and scientists through an annual programme that will include artist fellowships, residencies, public programmes, and encounters at partner centres.
