The Yves Klein Foundation aims to support and promote the unique contribution of Yves Klein — one of the major artists of the second half of the 20th century — to art history and share it with a wide audience.
This commitment to the artist and his legacy is expressed through a range of initiatives, including exhibitions, research and publications, the conservation of his work, and the establishment of a catalogue raisonné.

Driven by the desire to preserve, more than 60 years after his untimely death, the boldness and intensity of his vision and commitment, the Foundation will gradually introduce new initiatives to deepen knowledge of his work; promote its inclusion in the most current fields of reflection — affirming what it truly is: a figure that continues to resonate powerfully with our present.

Yves Klein had a major influence on the art of the second half of the 20th century by contributing profoundly to its redefinition and by calling for the “transcendence” of its “problematics.” He radically and poetically transformed what art can be, the way it manifests, and the spaces and media through which it takes form, even forging his own system of values. His art, writings, and ideas laid the foundations upon which contemporary art has evolved.
