ARCUB – Cultural Center of Bucharest Municipality is one of Romania’s leading cultural institutions and a major venue for contemporary art, theater, music, and interdisciplinary events. Since 2015, ARCUB has been headquartered in Hanul Gabroveni, a restored 18th-century inn in the historic center of Bucharest, transformed into a contemporary cultural venue.
Combining historic architecture with flexible exhibition and performance spaces, Hanul Gabroveni hosts major exhibitions, international theater productions, concerts, festivals, conferences, and public programs throughout the year. Spread across three levels, the venue includes galleries, performance halls, and multifunctional spaces that allow artists to develop projects of different scales and formats.
As a public institution financed by the Bucharest Municipality, ARCUB is committed to supporting contemporary creation and fostering dialogue between Romanian and international artists and audiences.
