Etxepare Basque Institute

The Etxepare Basque Institute is a public agency of the Basque Government that raises the international profile of contemporary Basque culture. Through a broad programme of activities — including exhibitions, film, music, performing arts, academic initiatives, and the teaching of the Basque language — the Institute promotes the visibility of Basque creative talent, fosters the mobility of artists and cultural professionals, and uses culture as a bridge to build lasting connections with other countries and regions. This is achieved through strategic alliances and inter-institutional frameworks based on cooperation and respect for diversity as shared values.

The Etxepare Basque Institute’s headquarters are located in Tabakalera, the International Centre for Contemporary Culture, in San Sebastián.
