Architecture Culture Week is a public cultural program organized by the Architectural Institute of Japan (AIJ), bringing architecture into dialogue with broader questions of cities, culture, society, and everyday life.
Through exhibitions, lectures, screenings, workshops, symposia, and other public programs, it creates opportunities for architects, researchers, artists, students, and wider audiences to encounter architecture from different perspectives.
In 2026, marking the 140th anniversary of the Architectural Institute of Japan, Architecture Culture Week presents a series of programs across Japan. The Lives of Ephemeral Form, held at the Architectural Museum in Tokyo, is part of this anniversary program and examines how architecture is recorded, preserved, inherited, and reinterpreted through archival materials, photography, moving images, exhibitions, and public programs.
