Fundación Federico Jorge Klemm is a cultural institution founded in Buenos Aires in 1995 by artist, patron, philanthropist, and collector Federico Jorge Klemm (1942–2002). Committed to free public access to art, the Fundación preserves, researches, and makes available the Klemm Collection of Argentine and international modern and contemporary art, together with its institutional Archive and Library.
The Collection has grown through exhibitions and the Federico Jorge Klemm Visual Arts Prize, established in 1997 to support contemporary Argentine art and expand the Fundación’s holdings. The institution also develops exhibitions, publications, and public programs that connect artistic heritage with artists and communities.
Rooted in its founder’s vision while reaching beyond his individual legacy, the Fundación sustains a living institution that promotes diversity, generates open knowledge, and builds bridges between generations of artists and audiences. Its commitment to the Collection and its documentary heritage ensures that both remain publicly accessible for generations to come.
