Cervantes House Museum is located in a very special house. Miguel de Cervantes lived here from
1604 to early in 1606. It was here that he probably had the privilege of enjoying one
of the greatest pleasures in his life, leafing through the first copies of Don Quixote,
which was published in 1605.
Here he met a bookseller, Francisco de Robles, who bought the rights to the work from him. It went on sale in
January of the following year. The history of literature, and that of this House, was never the same again.
