The Aargauer Kunsthaus is the leading museum for art from Switzerland. It sharpens our view of the times and helps to shape an open and inclusive society through its lively and experimental approach to art and artists. In dialogue with various communities, the Aargauer Kunsthaus creates space for intellectual and emotional contact with art in Switzerland.

With more than 21,000 works, the Aargauer Kunsthaus owns the most comprehensive collection of Art from Switzerland dating from the 18th century to the present day. Time and again, older inventories and new acquisitions are presented together in ever varying and surprising combinations. The objective is to keep this cultural heritage alive and make its importance visible.
