Art Encounters Foundation Timișoara

The Art Encounters Foundation is a contemporary art institution based in Timișoara, Romania. Since 2015, it has developed exhibitions, educational programs, public events, and research initiatives while organizing the Art Encounters Biennial, an international platform for contemporary art and one of the leading biennials in Central and Eastern Europe. Committed to supporting artistic production and fostering dialogue between local and international contexts, the Foundation collaborates with artists, curators, museums, and cultural organizations from Romania and abroad. In 2026, Art Encounters inaugurated its new building, expanding its activities into a year-round program dedicated to contemporary art, education, research, and community engagement.
