The Nordic Institute for Contemporary Art (NIFCA) was an organization that supported and promoted contemporary art from the Nordic and Baltic regions of Europe. It served as a platform for artists, curators, and art professionals to collaborate and exchange ideas, with a focus on contemporary art practices in the Nordic and Baltic countries. It was established in 1993 and was based in Helsinki, Finland. Its primary goal was to facilitate international collaboration, exhibitions, and cultural exchanges within the Nordic and Baltic art scenes. The organization organized exhibitions, workshops, residencies, and other cultural events to foster artistic dialogue and cooperation.
